Karl Klassen was raised in Rochester, MN. He graduated from Mayo High
School and moved on to University of Wisconsin at Riverfalls. During
this time Karl studied trombone with James Gauthier of U of W,
Riverfalls, Jonathan Hallstrom of Luther College and Richard Powell of
West Virginia University.
After graduating from U of W, Riverfalls,
Karl entered the instrumental repair program at Redwing Vo-Tech and
graduated shortly after. During the next five years Karl worked as a
repair technician in the Midwest before migrating to Oregon. Karl now
lives up the McKenzie River Valley in Eugene Oregon and worked for
Light's Music Center from 1989 to July of 2005.
 
Karl is also an active outdoorsman
and enjoys hunting, fishing, camping and woodworking. Karl also uses
his creative talents to build custom wooden boats.

Music, owned by Warren Wellford. Separate business', these two
companies work hand in hand to cover your band needs. Blue Ridge Music,
at www.blue-ridgemusic.com, is a music retailer primarily leasing wind and string instruments, accessories, and sheet music.
